I started my month catching up with friends over some coffee at La Caféothèque, playing tourists in my own city and visiting new places. Strolling around the city, making my way to the newly renovated courtyard of the Palais-Royal (more photos soon) and enjoying every minute of sun during these cold days. What did you do this month?

These past two weeks have been so cold that I've been spending most of my days bundled up at home watching TV series. I haven't really gotten the chance to pick up my camera since my friend left Paris so here are a couple of pictures from a day we spent at the Louvre. It was rainy and grey but everything looked so beautiful and I couldn't help but snap a couple of pictures even though my hands were sort of freezing.

And 20 years later, I finally saw the inside of the Paris opera house! Yesterday night, my sister and I watched a ballet at the Palais Garnier and it was absolutely beautiful. The first half of the show was too modern for my taste. I usually prefer classical ballet, which is why I absolutely loved the third set Together Alone choreographed by Benjamin Millepied. Photos weren't allowed during the show but I took a couple afterwords and completely fell in love with the architecture of this place. The ceiling by Marc Chagall was absolutely breathtaking as well, but didn't manage to take a good shot of it. If you're planning a trip to Paris, make sure to visit L'Opéra Garnier and if you have the chance, why not watch a ballet!
Hope you're all having a great weekend so far. Hugs!

Last Saturday I spent the night with a friend at Porte Dauphine in the 16th arrondissement and as usual, I forgot my camera at her place and hadn't noticed until I was back home – typical. But fortunately I picked it up yesterday and enjoyed a little morning walk before heading to class. The only thing missing was a good cup of hot chocolate to keep me warm.
