Cedars Photo Diary
Before heading to Portugal in August, I spent two and a half weeks back home in Lebanon. I was looking at some pictures I took during my stay and couldn’t help but share these photos from a road trip with some friends in northern Lebanon. They also remind me of summer and the warm weather (yes, the temperature suddenly dropped in Paris; hello jumpers, scarves and endless amount of tea).
The Cedars of God is one of the last vestiges of the extensive forests of the Cedars of Lebanon. I've been going there with my friends for two years now and it's slowly becoming one of our summer traditions.
We started the day with a hike to the top of the mountain and a quick dip in the lake. However we never really finished the walk. We were too slow and people were waiting for us back at the house for lunch, so someone had to come pick us up - have you ever tried going on a hike with 8 girls? After lunch, we spent the afternoon outside watching the sunset. Definitely one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Later on, we had a karaoke party, dined, played beer pong, and ended our night with a movie. And of course, we were never actually able to finish the movie as everyone ended up falling asleep on the couch. Until next year, Lebanon!
