We took the bus all the way to Newport to spend the afternoon at the beach. It was about an hour and a half away from where we were staying in Providence, so the drive wasn't too long. The beach was almost empty, calm and so peaceful. Exactly what we needed to relax after a long day of working.

After three weeks in the U.S with some of my classmates, I'm finally back home. The East coast was amazing and I can't wait to share with you some of the pictures I took! First on the list is New York.
Let me start by saying that those sky scrapers are out of this world... We first headed to the famous Times Square which was magical, with lights everywhere and huge billboards just glimmering and shining above our heads. I loved being in the centre of all this chaos, surrounded by hundreds of people, kids running around, cars moving, and cameras flickering. After that, we found our way to Central Park; in the middle of all the New York hustle, it was the ideal place to just relax and enjoy the open green space before visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Empire State Building and the Manhattan bridge were also on the list of must-see attractions in New York. We then ended our day at Madison Square Garden where I got to try Shake Shack for the first time. and I can confirm that their burgers are SO good. On our second and last day, we took the ferry early in the morning to Liberty Island and we got to see the Statue of Liberty. We then went to the MoMa where I got the chance to see some of the most famous artworks in the world by Warhol, Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso etc... We also walked on the iconic Brooklyn bridge and then headed towards Times Square again for our last dinner in New York.
Two days in NYC were certainly not enough; this trip was like a dream. A beautiful, beautiful dream. Hopefully, I'll get another chance to visit this city soon and take many many more pictures. Oh New York, you have my heart.

Hi everyone, please excuse the long period of absence! Seeing as I haven't posted for about a month, I feel a little catch-up is needed. On Sunday, I arrived to Providence, Rhode Island. This is my first time in the states, so you can imagine how excited I am to be here. I haven't seen much of the city yet, so I will leave you with this picture taken on Francis Street this morning near Kennedy Plaza. Also, I will be heading to New York for the 4th of July weekend. Can't wait to see all the fireworks. Hugs!
